SuperNatural was founded by Jill Golden and Samantha Backer.  After designing, producing and dyeing our own organic clothing line, tinctoria, in Portland for over 10 years, curating an eco-boutique seemed like a natural next step. The shop showcases our house line and also carries 10-15 other clothing lines that share  some or all of the same ethics.

The independent designers featured at SuperNatural focus on sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton, hemp, bamboo, tencel, and modal.  They also practice ethical manufacturing, conscientiously paying a living wage to the skilled craftspeople that produce their wares and/or seeking fair trade certification.  

In a world where fashion is the third most planet-polluting industry and big box stores have everyone looking the same, SuperNatural gives its customers an opportunity to look stylish, feel comfortable and shop their values, making choices that support the people and the planet that they love.
